We USAians seem to be getting the wrong point here. China’s not acting stupid about a small thing. They’re INSISTING on their version of the “fact” that Taiwan is part of China, not an independent entity. This behavior isn’t silly posturing, it’s planned posturing, setting up an attempt to overthrow the government there… using the occasion of Pelosi’s visit.

None of this fooling around as Russia is doing with Ukraine. China is no paper tiger. Pelosi, trouble not the tiger in its lair. Or be there during the coming conflict as a prisoner. For whom would you be swapped?
