That’s a question you should have asked. I don’t think my maternal grandmother had a favorite grand kid, but I like to think I was her favorite for mowing her yard and taking her any place she needed to go.
I never had to ask that question because I knew for certain that my older sister was the favorite. After my sister’s second divorce, my mother said, “I always thought it would be you,” meaning that she had much lower expectations for me. Rather than upsetting me, I just laughed. My revenge has been living a very good life, with a solid marriage.
