He’s thrashing around trying to avoid thinking (which isn’t in his wheelhouse) about what’s coming down. And there are still enough willing accomplices that he can ignore reality for a little longer.

Not Trump necessarily, but we definitely need Republicans to take control of the House, Senate and the Presidency to clean up the mess that Puppet Biden and his puppet administration has made after Trump left office. Vote RED 2022, 2024

This reminds me of the Berthold character in the 1988 Terry Gilliam movie, “The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.” The palace of the Sultan could be taken as Republican National Committee headquarters.

So, will he announce “In Two Weeks”, just like EVERY OTHER LIE he told between 2016 and 2020????

He just needs more time to scam MORE MONEY from the GULLIBLE MORONS before announcing that he WON’T RUN, since becoming a real candidate would mean that his money-making scams would then be regulated by the Federal Elections Commission…although he would just ignore them, as he has ignored EVERY OTHER LAW since 2016.

Trump is going to leverage a potential 2024 POTUS run as much as possible. Whether he runs or not, it’s going to hurt the RNC. I’m more concerned about DeSantis, a junkyard dog if there ever was one.

I’ve found it funny that recently all the little click bait ads that used to say Who would you vote for in 2024, Biden or Trump now say Biden or DeSantis.

I don’t even want to think of Biden v Trump for 2024. Both sides need to come up with much better candidates.

Trump turned the IRS onto his enemies.

New revelations indicate Trump may have committed a ‘serious federal crime’

Former FBI Director James Comey and his top deputy Andy McCabe faced rare, intensive IRS audits after investigating former President Donald Trump, according to The New York Times.

Comey, whom Trump fired in 2017 while he oversaw the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia, and McCabe, who was similarly terminated after investigating Trump over the Coney firing, were selected for a “random” audit known as an “autopsy without the benefit of death,” according to the report. Out of about 153 million individual tax returns filed in 2017, only about 5,000 people are selected for this type of invasive audit each year.

Comey and McCabe, along with their spouses, defied the odds, being selected for the audit after being fired. The two men were selected for an IRS research program that uses “compliance research examinations” to try to catch tax cheats. Unlike typical audits, these audits force individuals to produce bank records, copies of checks, receipts and letters effectively recreating their finances for the year in question. The process takes months and often costs thousands in accountant fees.

“Your federal income tax return for the year shown above was selected at random for a compliance research examination,” the IRS said in letters to both men. “We must examine randomly selected tax returns to better understand tax compliance and improve fairness of the tax system. We’ll give you the opportunity to explain any errors we may find during the examination.”

    Cohen got the same audit.

Michael Cohen was also suspiciously targeted by the IRS along with other Trump foes

The New York Times revealed this week that at least two of President Donald Trump’s foes were suspiciously targeted by the IRS for extensive and “invasive” audits.

“Among tax lawyers, the most invasive type of random audit carried out by the I.R.S. is known, only partly jokingly, as ‘an autopsy without the benefit of death,’” said the report.

According to former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, he too was targeted by the IRS. Among the 2018 charges that Cohen agreed to plead guilty to was tax fraud, though he maintains that he’s never cheated on his taxes.

The only reasons he’ll announce a presidential run in

1, grift more money from the rubes.

2, claim when he’s arrested for at least some of the many crimes he’s committed over the years, that’s it’s really political persecution.

Sadly, the rubes will fall for it hook, line, and sinker.

IRS chief faces questions over audits of Trump foes

Charles Rettig, whose elevation by Trump to lead the service in 2018 surprised many tax professionals when it was announced, faced new scrutiny after the New York Times revealed that both former FBI director James B. Comey and his deputy, Andrew McCabe, were the subject of highly unusual audits that the IRS says was selected at random. The Washington Post has confirmed the audits.

Rettig was a tax attorney in Beverly Hills, Calif., when Trump put him in charge of the agency, which employs about 71,000 full-time staff. He had defended a billionaire the IRS accused of hiding money in offshore accounts, a venture capitalist the agency alleged used sham accounting to shelter assets, and the heirs of a millionaire defense contractor who sought to fend off inheritance taxes.

He started out as a Trump ally when his four-year term began in 2018, shielding the former president’s tax returns from public view in the face of a House Democratic lawsuit. But Rettig has proved a willing partner for the Biden administration, as well, supporting its efforts to close the gap between what taxpayers owe and what they pay, and implementing expansive new stimulus measures.

The IRS commissioner’s term is set to expire in November, and Biden administration officials had already begun interviewing potential candidates for his replacement before this week’s news, according to two people familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private conversations. Rettig has expressed openness to a second term, said one other person familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity for the same reason.
