They never claimed it was a gusher, so stop exaggerating. It’s realistically the only ting the POTUS can do. Further, if it’s even approved through Congress, the oil companies will simply absorb it as additional profit, as they have every price increase so far. The inflation in gas prices is gouging by the oil companies. It’s written in their financial reports every quarter. Welcome to predatory Capitalism, the true American story.

And if Biden hadn’t proposed this, hypocritically speaking, Ramirez would be criticizing him for it.

The only way to stop a bad gas pump with high prices is with a good oil company not increasing their profits.

“No more subsidies for the fossil fuel industry. No more drilling including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill period. It ends.” – Joe Biden.

I have noticed, over the decades, that the GOP has no plans to help the average American citizens, only the rich. Since trump, the party has zero plans, no platform except whatever the orange-haired miscreant says. Conservatives don’t learn. The psychopath will turn on any of them if they don’t bow low enough.

In 18 months, Dementia Joe has taken the US from an energy independent world power to the brink of becoming a third world country. He is traveling to Saudi to beg for more oil while destroying oil production in this country. His administration shut down Abbot and now he is begging formula from other countries. Store shelves are rapidly emptying. Shades of Venezuela, Cuba, Russia and every other socialist/communist country.

You naysayers aren’t listening to the possibilities the Republicans are talking about. Of course you’re angry when you only listen to the MSM

I am not sold on the benefit to consumers of this tax “holiday”. I suspect it will be swallowed up at various points of the supply chain. Some states already have suspended their gas taxes, have prices gone down there? Are they lower than in other states?

However, the REALLY fascinating thing is the 180 that the GOP has done now that Biden supports it. The Trump wing of the GOP has been all over this topic for years:

Imagine that, Republicans against “tax cuts”!!!

Easy drill more, open new refinery, this action will affect the global prices with the anticipation of US getting back to a major oil producer as we had 3 years ago.

2 simple facts…1) The price of gas has literally doubled on Biden’s watch, 2) He is not the least bit interested in helping with getting the price back down (proof is he wouldn’t even meet with the oil CEO’s yesterday that were all in D.C.). For this, his party will be severely hurt in the mid=terms, as they should.

Still going to pay twice as much for gas in the $4 range after Biden took office.

For once, a good point. Two good points, actually: the federal gas tax is paltry, inadequate in fact to cover the costs of highway construction.

Biden promised: "No more subsidies for fossil fuel energy, no more drilling on federal lands, no more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill. Period.” Since he took power, he has kept this promise. I guess we could start with any of those – not to mention the Keystone Pipeline. There is a gas station in New Hampshire which will never run out of gas because they get their oil from CANADA and have their own refinery – what a crazy idea!

How about opening the Keystone pipeline that will help keep prices down and opening drilling back in this country making us energy independent again?Do you RELLY have to ask this question after YAO XIDEN shut everything down on his first day?
