When I was 16 I had a girlfriend, and we were having relationship troubles…and when a special day rolled around (Valentines Day), and I wasn’t sure if I should get her a gift or not (I didn’t), well…that finalized the relationship…she let me go. And then I made it worse when her sister asked me out and I said yes….
That seems to be a pretty good indicator of when to end it. In my case I just called and said I needed to get the stuff I’d left at his place. When I got there, despite my making it very clear why I was there, he wanted one more roll in the hay. Eh, no.
