World Cup Football turned my dad into a cursing machine. He would watch it at home, cuss, turn it off, go to a friend’s house, then watch it and start cussing again.

Including the diving?

Thud. I love how the players react if they run into somebody, doesn’t matter which side it’s on, they make sure the person’s okay & stay by them until help arrives. THEY know how to say “I’m sorry!”!!!

How about the flopping! Have to love a minor hit and the player rolls around until a ref does something and then they get up and run again.

I’m so glad the kids in my hood stopped yelling GOOOAAALLL every time they tapped the ball.

Never got into “football”, or soccer as I know it here…always thought it was more boring than baseball…

I guess it doesn’t matter if it’s Manchester United or Arsenal playing. For Sir Dudley, it’s all about the theatrics of an imagined injury.

Karma’s out of luck, there are no draws (or ties) in the World Cup games.

World Cup “Football” (soccer to us in the US) features the best divers on solid land! Normally I wouldn’t much care.

But I’ll admit that when overseas, in an area where it was popular, I did get a kick (ahem!) out of watching Germany beat someone or other for that year’s cup, while drinking a cold beer or two at the local watering hole that had a big color TV….

I’m guessing this is not American Football (known as “Handegg” in Europe).
