And yet we cannot get people to vote out the murderers by proxy.

RE: Panel 6 in the cartoon — It’s interesting to speculate how those who, through their firm opposition to gun regulations (murderers by proxy) that might prevent such massacres, would suffer in Dante’s system of Hell’s punishments.

“In Dante’s Inferno Phlegethon is described as a river of blood that boils souls. It is in the Seventh Circle of Hell, which punishes those who committed crimes of violence against their fellow men (see Canto XII, 46–48); murderers, tyrants, and the like. By causing hot blood to flow through their violent deeds in life, they are now sunk in the flowing, boiling blood of the Phlegethon. The depth at which each sinner must stand in the river is determined by the level of violence they caused in life; Dante sees Attila the Hun and Alexander the Great up to their eyebrows. Centaurs patrol the circle, firing arrows at those who try to rise above their allotted level in the river. Dante and Virgil cross Phlegethon with help from Nessus.”

They might occupy some section of the Seventh Circle, maybe a tributary, knee-deep. And young “mentally ill” demons armed with AR-15s would make sure they stay there.

The so-called “liberal” media is anything but. They are corporate and worry about ratings much more than the truth. Unfortunately their motto has been “if it bleeds, it leads” while they don’t follow up with important questions. Start reporting on how much money each of the pro-NRA Repubs gets from the organization. Ask them how they can believe that teachers would handle guns in the classroom better than police that JUST took training on these situations. There are also questions about medical coverage for the victims since Repubs oppose ANY support for healthcare without any alternative.

Uvalde occurred more than 5 minutes ago. The attention span of the U.S. has already moved on.

In Orlando a 10 yr old shot and killed a lady arguing with her mom. Support for the GOP argument that if those Uvalde school children had guns the mass shooting never would have happened.

Apparently Elizabeth Bathory was wrong about bathing in the blood of virgins unless the cop’s before picture is really horrifying.

While thoroughly repulsive McFadden drew a darn accurate image of an AR-15 A2, even got the sight adjustment wheel.
