Not entirely relevant to Leo and Gabby’s friendship, but here’s what this reminded me of:
Two Buddhist monks were walking along and came to a river they needed to cross. At the riverbank was an old woman. “I also need to cross the river, but I am too weak. Can you help me?” Without hesitation, one of the monks took her on his back and carried her to the other side. Then he and his fellow continued their journey.
After about an hour, the second monk said to the first “Brother, our vows include that we are never so much as to touch a woman. Do you not feel you have done a shameful thing?” The first monk answered “I put the woman down as soon as we reached the other bank. You, brother, appear to be carrying her still.”
I just re-read this comic and noticed that he says “The Pope has asked me to speak to both of you …” Hmmm. I wonder where we’re going with that? I wonder what the Pope actually asked him to speak to them about?

Mr. Marrin is only a few steps short from having “I am a bad guy” embroidered on the back of Br. Fabian’s cowl.

Whenever I am with someone and my phone rings and they ask, “Aren’t you going to get that?” I respond, “Nah, I’m not that important.”
