When I was contemplating a career as a teacher (and the world’s a MUCH better place because I didn’t) I thought I’d enjoy the very young, who weren’t yet bored with everything… or university where it was up to THEM whether they learned something. Middle school wasn’t even in the same park, much less the running.
In a mystery I read the murder took place in a museum. The detectives interviewed a teacher who was leading a field trip. She said, “Of course all 10 year olds are psychopaths.”
