I will concede that the secessionists were more extreme than the MAGA crowd.

But they were honest, in total contrast to the MAGA crowd. They seceded in order to preserve states’ rights to allow whites to own slaves.

You consider yourself better than everyone around you Gary. Why aren’t you calling attention to the bombings and assassinations your tribe carries out?

Looters and violent demonstrations had NOTHING on the MAGA maniacs who stormed the US Capitol. Many were protesting against real actions, such as police brutality (and murders), not rage against imaginary voting fraud and the lawful execution of the constitutional transfer of power from one administration to another.

I find it interesting what people live Varvel find extreme. Take “Legal Abortion”. This is a position supported by the majority of Americans and has been the law for 50 years. How is that extreme.

Or “the New Green Deal”. The idea is that we need to transition our economy to one that uses less fossil fuels in order to forestall the effects of Global Warming. Scientists have been telling us exactly that for decades. Maybe you can disagree with particulars, but is it really extreme?

Antifa. Since when has being against fascism been extreme?

BLM. Is it unreasonable to push back against the apparent callousness about the deaths of so many unarmed black people at the hands of the police?

It seems to me that the right finds any reasonable position extreme.

Why can’t the Democratic left come up with reasoned, peaceable slogans like “HANG MIKE PENCE”?

Liberals know things that aren’t so. And they like to burn and loot cities.

For an “Accepting” “Non-Violent” crowd, the Left are awfully Violent and demanding of Lockstep.

As usual Ol’ Gary has it bass ackwards. How many people do you think try to overthrow democracy at pro-choice rallies?
