We knew the court was broken.

And now we have found out the price the country will pay for having a broken SCOTUS.

Just because a known insurrectionist, with the help of Mitch, packed the Supreme Court and it will now be a political arm of the GOP for the next twenty or more years, as we swing towards a fascist state… “is that what’s bothering you Bunky?”

AS IF Trump Republicans give a sh!t about precedent of any kind.

There is NOTHING they will not LIE about and NOTHING they will not weaponize.

    .

And it’s certainly effective. Trump Disciples continue to fight like hell to prevent billionaire oligarchs from paying any taxes and yearn for ever increasing wealth inequality.

Boo hoo. They’re upset because their disgusting decision got released early. Probably how someone feels who just found out they have to carry a baby to term that they’re not able to care for.

Ignore the fact that the RW Supreme Court is ready to put the US back into the 1800’s and focus on the outrage that the citizens were told about it beforehand.

Judicial protocol=sacrosanct. Legislative protocol= violently scorned (see 1/6/21). Which was the bigger danger to our democracy?

It’s no longer a “Court”, it’s a “Tribunal”. A sort of Nuremberg Trial against women. The Supreme Court of the United States is suppoed to only “Uphold the Laws” of the United States, not make any attempt to “Change those Laws”. That is the business of Congress.

Wow, a woke cartoon from Bob Gorrell. You are right that the Supreme Court overturning precedent, after many justices testified under oath that they wouldn’t during their confirmation process, has shattered court protocol.

You are completely right, The party who stole a supreme court pick from Obama, confirmed a justice with credible sexual assault allegations against him, and jammed through another justice while an election was already under way shattered court protocol.

I don’t consider some leftist activist clerk, the “court”. No justice had a hand in this, just some a-hole who thinks he/she has the right to do whatever they want regardless of rule of law because the ends justify the means. Can’t wait to find out who this new hero of the left is.

McConnell broke the Court. Broke the unwritten rule that we allow the President’s pick, so long as qualified, moderately right or left of center candidates are presented. They will cite Bork, but he was an aberration, with some justification. Republicans have now gamed and politicized it to the max. We Democrats do not do this. I’m afraid we’re all gonna reap this whirlwind.

Roe was an egregious decision from the start!

I certainly made that clear in my hearings!

    Didn’t I?

Nothing illegal happened. Court opinions are public knowledge.

Now you want to draw something about criminalizing a safe and often necessary to protect life procedure, you should focus on the conservative hack judges changing established precident of nearly 50 years of law protecting women’s and girl’s rights to not only seek safe abortions, but the privacy they deserve, but now the Republicans want to criminalize something that saves women’s and girl’s lives.

Shame of Republicans for not respecting true medical privacy. Shame on them being the party that takes the side of rapists over their victims.

Value freedom, vote all the Republicans out of office. While our votes are still counted at all.

Time to get rid of the electoral college BS. Most of these judges would not have their positions without the Electoral College. The majority of Americans have not voted for this, nor do we want it.

80 percent of Americans support abortion.

Stealing women’s property will be next. Followed closely by slavery. Orange Comb Forward, even though heavily in debt himself was all for reopening debtors prisons where people “work off” their debt.

Vote blue. Your freedom depends on it.

Perhaps it wasn’t a conservative aide. Perhaps it wasn’t a liberal aide. Perhaps it wasn’t a justice. Perhaps, instead, it was the politically active spouse of an incredibly compromised justice wanting the original verbiage out there to prevent the forthcoming watered-down version from being heard.

So, you are more concerned about a leak than overturning Roe? And why is Roberts so eager to find the leaker, and when a justice’s wife participated in an effort to overthrow the government, he’s just, “meh.”

Which breaks the court more – a leak, or abolishing stare decisis?
