There are times I get text messages on my phone from my parents they’re in the store, but I don’t always get their messages because the phone is set to silent/vibrant and I don’t even notice the phone vibrating when I’m very busy. So I either cross paths with them or I notice the message when I’m going on lunch break.

At least they did not try to take advantage of his employee discount.

“How come you didn’t say ‘HI’ ?”

Because they still remember the visits they got first day on the job.

Guess his job isn’t going to last too long. Panel 3; his first night on the job stacking bread and already he is squeezing the bread in half with his anger! Isn’t squeezing the bread a no-no for a store employee?

I like the way when he comes home and catches Elly pouring coffee for John with a single drop frozen in mid-air as if even the coffee is startled.

I’m glad we can’t read other people’s thoughts. Being good at reading body language is bad enough.

When one of my brothers was a teenager, he got a job as a busboy at a restaurant. My grandparents went in there for dinner one night, When my brother came to my grandparents’ table , my grandmother called him by his nickname she & my grandfather had for him . My brother was SO embarrassed!! So he told my parents about it when he got home, who told my grandmother .She held it against my brother for the rest of her life .(My grandmother was one to hold guilt trips .)

Teens are harder to read than a book, with the pages glued together.

Ahhh, the teenage years. So dramatic. ;-) Your brain never knows if it’s coming or going!
