They did the right thing. Make sure your kid is OK, but don’t make a big thing about falling.

The pediatrician told us “Kids fall a lot that is why they are built so close to the ground”!

Third kid and they still act like that? By the third kid, if I don’t see bone sticking out through the skin, keep cleaning the garage. Lol!

A little ones reaction to a fall, is directly proportional to the adults reaction. The more the fuss, the louder the cry. Wren’s seems to have a some Hammie adventure in her.

If you’re THAT worried… ONE of you Geniuses go UP the ladder with the kid and line her up on the slide, the other stay at the bottom as catcher…. d’uh. Or you could gasp let the child play! Sorta like our parents and grandparents did with US!

That’s what kids do. They fall, get back up and do it again. Quit hovering and let her have fun.

I noticed that a lot of playground slides now have a bar across the top so that the kid has to either sit down (intent) or duck under it to go down the slide. I can’t remember the last time I saw a metal slide! I do remember using wax paper to get a metal slide really slick… I also agree that they handled it correctly…
