If DeSatan thinks this will hurt Disney he’s truly crazy, the ones who will be hurt are the people living in the area. If this truly goes through Orange County expects it’s property tax rates to go up by 20%, so if you’re living in Orange County and are paying $2,000 per year on local property taxes you’ll now be paying $2,400 per year, a $400 per year increase.

That ‘gator isn’t eating The Mouse, it’s chowing on the tax payers in the two districts that will end up paying for the things that Disney is currently paying for. Now this SOUNDS as if DeathSantis has made a mistake, but if you look a little closer what you see is that DISNEY WILL BE SPENDING $milliions LESS than before… while the tax payers pick up the difference. GOP: Pro Big Business. Pro lying to the voters. Good at dog whistles. Without a shred of empathy or compassion, much less acting as though their oaths of office meant anything.

Trump made hating public. He built his presidency on it. Now it’s a constant barrage of ugly thinking out loud.

I’m guessing Mickey et al will be okay. It’s Florida that is due for a bad case of indigestion.

Some are upset because Disney got involved in politics. No law against that, but there is a law against tax-free religious organizations meddling in politics, a law broken every day by hundreds of preachers and churches supporting one party or the other. Nobody seems to object to that.

Do you think Disney is going to sit back and NOT sue the state of Florida for breach of contract or whatever else the team of lawyers Disney is hiring right now can think of? Here is a Floridian to give us some perspective.

Disney employs more people than any other company in the state. When this new law goes into effect next June, Disney should just bulldoze everything on their properties and leave the state. Then let the legislature and desatan explain to voters why the Florida economy tanks because of the hit to tourism.

I am trans, I do not think that kids K-3, should be taught about LGBTQ or CRT. Which is what the bill will do.

I assume that no one in their right mind truly expects the Disney to absorb all the increased costs associated with DeSantis’ latest little “hissy fit”?

Fortunately, the average republican has the mental intensity of a rock, so this probably WON’T cause any lasting damage to the political fortunes of ANY of the Trump acolytes running Florida – and on a more positive note, by cancelling my upcoming vacation to Orlando, I’m going to have a healthy piece of change to spend in California and it’s closer to me, anyway. So, to me, it’s a “win, win” situation. And all I had to do is mention to my wife that “it’s not that much farther to Hawaii” and I had her on board (she dislikes making travel decisions based on politics, while I have a long list of destinations on my political “no-fly” list – Florida just being the latest).

Parenthetically, my political opinions HAS gotten my wife more interested in politics, to a degree, since she’s wanting a trip to the Provance region of France in the fall, and I’ve told her she’s going alone if Le Pen winds the election on Sunday.

The small minds seem to be the ones who want to take away the innocent childhood of children and blame others for trying to protect it. This cartoon is a perfect example of fake news.

sure, it has been shown that children learn language quickly when exposed at a young age. But that turns them into foreigners!
