Buckles is about a little dog and his daily life with his owners Paul and Jill. With him is his backyard bird friend Arden, Scrappy, a pesky squirrel, and his unusual live-on roommate, Flea.
David Gilbert started drawing cartoons at a young age and was inspired by the art of Disney animation and his love for newspaper comic strips. He worked for his local newspaper drawing a high school comic strip and also as an animator at a small animation company. In 1996, Buckles appeared in syndication around the world.
