Now putin is sending in “the butcher of Syria”. I also read: ‘Winging It’: Russia Is Getting Its Generals Killed on the Front LinesRussian generals have had to lead from the front because its amateur army can’t move otherwise.
Wishful thinking, most likely. Realpolitik teaches us differently — if we choose to learn from it. Putin may “lose his head” (he’s already lost his mind); but the axe will most likely be wielded from within Russia’s borders whether by General or by general fiat. I’m not counting on a lightning strike or a meteorite impact — although either would be poetically appropriate.
Russian military leaders were never good tacticians relying on mass assaults counting on the enemy running out of bullets before they ran out of conscripts and generals.
In addition to escalating weapons supplies and aid, threaten Putin with some kind of retaliation for killing civilians — maybe setting up anti-missile systems in countries bordering Ukraine to protect Ukraine air space. Or something like that — I don’t know if it’s technologically possible.
And, there are indications that Belarus wants to be part of ‘the negotiations’. Perfect opening for a wedge. How would Belarus like some promises of protection against a Russian invasion like what going on in Ukraine?

Too bad the metaphor of Pootins head on a platter isn’t more literal.

It may be Putin’s head that’s being handed to him on a platter, but it’s the Russian army’s ASS that is being kicked on a daily basis.

US/NATO needs to bump Putin a little harder.

War is the choice of our enemy. We should, therefore, give them as much of it as they want. Good comic.

I’m not sure it’s his head that’s being handed to him but point taken.

Pretty sure that “Zelenskyy” is the correct Ukrainian spelling. “Zelensky” is the Russian spelling.
