If he had some ambition, he could/should monetize it … and … (once again, if he had some ambition), even if he loses his passion for digging ditches, he should be able to dig up a new passion.

Of the sayings of my mother, “you can always make a living digging ditches” seemed the most unrealistic and nonsensical.

Some days, digging a ditch by hand is therapy. Besides, the cold beer at the end of the day just seems to taste better.

He could become the Banksy of ditches. “Ditchy” art installations could be famous. Look how popular gophers are. :)

Is this the old fashioned way of making bit coins?
