That’s the problem we have with algorithms as they are now – they’re incredibly good at finding you things like the things you like (which is fine if that’s what you’re after), but terrible at finding you random things you didn’t know you wanted. Some of my favourite books are ones I just came across by chance and are nothing like my usual fare.
What really annoys me is when you keep getting links to stuff you’ve already purchased. A perfect Christmas surprise was ruined when I saw a link for a gift Hubby had purchased for me.
I was killing time watching Reels on Instagram. I clicked like on dog videos and dancing ones and after awhile that is ALL I saw. I stopped watching IG Reels. I still like dog videos and clever footwork but variety is a good thing.
