Tell me again how dividing Americans against each other, refusing to compromise, or even giving your opponent a voice in SCOTUS makes our constitutional quasi-democratic republic stronger — more indivisible —and more competent to deal with our future issues.

As this world keeps turning, I really hope when all of Trump’s men get convicted in Federal courts and their appeals end up in the Supreme Court. Fair is fair…..as would Judge Jackson would be because that is who she is.

On a related note there is the latest micro-tempest in Trump world – the dust up between Mo Brooks and the Orange Mistake

    https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/24/politics/mo-brooks-donald-trump-january-6-election/index.html

It seems that Brooks is a looser (hard to contest that) and has lost Trump’s endorsement (after all, Trump only picks winners, himself excluded). Brooks’ response? Apparently Trump asked his help to “rescind the election”.. whatever that means.

I do hope they keep digging into one another. One commentator on the tube actually mentioned making popcorn…

Clarence Thomas’ wife Ginni was VERY busy sending emails to Mark Meadows about overturning the election. She should be under investigation for January 6th, and “justice” Thomas needs to be removed from any related cases if he doesn’t recuse himself.

Repubs want to bring in a controversial group “Operation Underground Railroad” to testify at Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing. Members are linked to QAnon and there are accusations of members having sex with human-trafficking victims and financial misconduct.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/controversial-anti-sex-trafficking-group-164812815.html

Repubs are so frantic that Judge Jackson refused to define “woman” because it was a ridiculous question. Blackburn, Hawley and the others need to supply their definitions for the public to scrutinize.

Well, congressional debate on any “crime bill” is, as Linda Wertheimer put it, nothing you would want your children to watch, what with the Solons in both houses climbing all over one another to prove they are the toughest of all on criminals and their evil way. “Life” for spitting on the sidewalk might seem a little harsh, but think of how much nicer our cities would be.
