This arc cheapens both the Supreme Court and the candidate. A better target would be the challengers on the congressional committee, who have lost all sense of respect and manners toward candidates. Their infantile bleating, interrupting, and demeaning remarks show the full scale of deterioration of the once proud profile of the citizen statesman.

To be clear, I have no opinion on the current candidate for a seat on the Supreme Court of the United States. However, I am ashamed of the actions of some ot the congressional committee that is questioning her qualifications. To think these people are in responsible for upholding our US Constitution gives me chills.

Since she will be confirmed (barring some major faux pas/revelation), this GOP gnashing of the teeth seems more performative than anything; there is an election in a bit over 7 months!!!

The GOP are an ignorant, vengeful cult these days! There’s two people they put on the SC who don’t belong and that’s the drunken cry baby and the other is a cult member…..and one more thing….Thomas’ wife… he should recuse himself from the bench!

The courts are supposed to be impartial but since the rump days of yore, it’s become a vile political bench of revenge.

Oh, I don’t know. I thought the questioning Senators were fairly well behaved for a group of terrified ignorant white male racist misogynists. /S

Sen Graham absurdly asks Judge Jackson what her religious affiliation is and how important her faith is to her. He then asks her how often she attends church.

Her response: “There is no religious test under the Constitution, senator.”

Our system of government has failed. Both parties are out out of control. And serve only themselves and not the voters.

I was really incensed when Lindsay Graham asked her about her religious affiliation. As a member of congress, Graham should know to keep religion and government separate. Where are we? Back in the 1600’s?
