The only people still using “woke” are those banning books, attacking LGBTQ kids, threatening women, and facilitating gun violence. Scratch the “woke” squawker and find the underlying Putinite.

There is not one Republican or christian conservative that comes even close to the level of meritocracy. Anyone who has ever even smiled and nodded at Trump is miles and miles away from the meaning of meritocracy.

“Since none of that is true, it is irrelevant.”???? It is not true we had slavery for 250 years? It is not true we had Jim Crow for another 100 years? Tulsa/Rosewood massacres were just TV dramas/fiction? 4,000+ AAs were not lynched? The KKK were just Shriners wearing hoods instead of Fezes?

GOP Senator Roman Hruska argued for this long before “woke” rhetoric existed.

The basic definition of woke is shaming someone. For numerous decades Republicans and Christians had near exclusive providence to do that in our society regardless of whether their target did anything wrong or not. Once they could be shamed for the bad things they do, all of sudden being woke is bad. And now they enact laws to prevent people from reviewing their history of bad things in schools. But I guess this is what happens when you allow your ethical and moral rules be determined externally by ideological leader. Good/Evil, Right/Wrong…those concepts have no meaning for Republicans and Christians because they don’t internalize them and take personal responsibility for who they are.

Does Ramirez have a point to make with this, or is it just casting non-specific shade on the left?

Of course, a Ramirez page is an extreme rightwing safehouse where the trolls can safely land and exchange false talking points. Rambo-mirez is one of their guiding lights, the same way that Sylvester Stallone is a “true American hero”.

They promised a meritocracy and delivered a kleptocracy, they promised free markets and monopolized every one, they despise socialism while they bankroll billionaires with our taxes, they bankrupt a million people yearly with unaffordable healthcare while showering the defense department with corporate welfare. I despise the republican party and I’m disgusted with the democrats, corporate and financial special interests own every republican and a majority of the democrats, the will of the people doesn’t even register. Until we get money out of politics we’re screwed, only progressive democrats endorse such policies.

The “woke” can’t spell? Rubbish. Recent research shows Conservatives to be cognitively unsophisticated and having limited vocabularies.
