Some days (or should that be decades?) it just doesn’t pay to get out of bed. If we were better at managing the worst among us, that would go a long way toward helping all four of these. Any ideas how to make that happen?
I would not label that one box “Ukraine.” Ukraine did not create this crisis. That was Russia. Or to be more precise, Putin. BUT, he would not remain in power unless a sufficient number of Russians went along. Which they are.
The Greatest Generation went through a pandemic, a depression, and World War II BTW, gas was limited during WWII. You were allowed only a few gallons a month, and you didn’t hear them whining. We need to look to our ancestors and have the same resilience they had.
Add climate change. Perhaps all those blows will finally convince the critical mass that nationally and globally we must work for the long-term good even at some cost to short-term comfort.
1. Early detection, prompt response to ameliorate the effects of the pandemic. 2. Light a fire under greedy corporate leaders’ rear ends 3. Full humanitarian & military support for Ukraine 4. A massive dose of sanity…reduction rather than their use which would end humanity
Inflation is not a world threatening phenomena. Instead it is a threat to the extremely wealthy who lose billions in wealth. It hurts the poor as well, but since they don’t have any wealth, not as much. They need to stretch what few dollars they have a bit further.

Social media allows 24/7/365 doomscrolling. Constantly checking to see how worried or outraged one should be is a bad way to run one’s life.
