That’s an African Clawed Frog (Xenopus laevis), a very common lab animal as well as pet. I have two: an albino and a green one that looks very similar to that cartoon. They get their common name from an unusual defense mechanism: they can break their own finger bones and use the sharp edges as weapons. Unfortunately, the regenerative abilities of frogs, even when they need some artificial help, may not apply as well to creatures without the same life cycle.

I’m surprised they’re singling out a specific artist, here. In Wisconsin especially, there are whole festivals and contests for carving cheese. I suppose most participants don’t exclusively work in that medium, though.

Speaking of food, Italian sanguinaccio dolce is another blood-based desert. I bet it’d have similar nutritional properties, but it’d be a lot harder to store and distribute.

I don’t think that Russian candy or Russian anything seems very attractive right now. Not even to most Russians, it appears.

Take care, may sad clown Vladimir “If You Believe Anything I Say The Fault Of My Actions Rests With You” Putord be with you, and gesundheit.

This is a story about a broken cheese-cutter.

A guy walks into a doctor’s office and says, “My farts never smell.”

“Very interesting,” says the doctor. “Can you demonstrate for me?” So the guy lets out a very loud fart.

“I think I know what the problem is,” says the doctor. He goes to his closet and gets a very long stick with a hook on the end.

“Hold it!” says the patient. “What are you going to do with that thing?”

“I’m just going to open the window,” says the doctor. “And by the way, I think the problem is with your nose.”

I’d suggest carving skunk sculptures. They become more and more realistic over time.

The first time I heard that joke, it was two Frenchmen sipping coffee at an outdoor bistro in Paris, France.
