Look: Putin has so MUCH blood on his hands already that the schools and hospitals his minions are bombing and strafing are—so far at least—only a tiny fraction of his lifetime total. (Obviously, his attacking civilians is contemptible—as is his illegal invasion itself—but it is perfectly in his lack-of-character.) He helped his fellow dictator and war criminal, Assad, massacre more than half a million Syrian civilians. Let’s say that Putin’s share of the slaughter was only 10% (no knowledgeable observer thinks it is that low). In other words, even before his illegal invasion of Ukraine, Putin was responsible for more than 50,000 murders. Anybody who can praise Putin is, quite simply, sick—and, of course, a traitor. (Looking at YOU Tucker Carlson. Of course, Trump is already known to be a traitor.) Here’s hoping that Putin loses his head in addition to his pants.

It doesn’t matter how many names we call Putin. Ukrainians need weapons, ammunition, and money. How do we get it to them?

I saw a photo of Putin shaking hands with Assad and noticed the great difference in height. So I tried to look up Putin’s height. It isn’t out there but estimates are that he is between 5’5" and 5’7". Maybe that explains some of his behavior and his need to appear what he considers strong and masculine.

Last night Stephen Colbert listed the many differences between Pootin and Zelenskiy and finished off with, “and unlike Pootin, Zelenskiy actually looks good with his shirt off.” Very, very true.

Can’t recall the attribution for this comment:

Putin is a 5’6" guy trying to be 5’7".

Zelensky calls Russia’s missile strike on Kharkiv’s Freedom Square a ‘war crime’ and ‘state terrorism’

President Zelensky called Russia’s missile strike on Kharkiv a “war crime” and “state terrorism.”

Ukraine’s second-largest city was hit on Tuesday by a cruise missile strike, Zelensky said.

It comes a day after dozens of people were reportedly killed in Kharkiv from other Russian strikes.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called Russia’s missile strike on Kharkiv’s Freedom Square a “war crime” and “state terrorism.”

“This attack on Kharkiv is a war crime. This is state terrorism of the Russian Federation,” Zelensky said in a video statement posted on Telegram on Tuesday. “After that, Russia is a terrorist state, obviously.”

Zelensky said that Freedom Square in Ukraine’s second-largest city was hit on Tuesday by a cruise missile strike and that there were “dozens of victims.”

The strike hit an opera house, concert hall, and a local government building in Freedom Square, local officials told the BBC.

Local authorities told BBC that at least 10 people were killed and dozens more were injured in the strike.
