For certain whenever a criminal repeats the same crime within 72 hours of bail.

Yeah, we need ti get them off the streets.

That’s what they are doing in Baltimore.

In SF, many are being set to places other than jails that might help them. Sending people to jail doesn’t help as many of them continue to commit crimes after they’re released. We need ways to help rehabilitate criminals not punish them.

Have to keep for-profit jails full somehow, right?

Same thing no matter what. It’s one of the best ideas in a long time.In Australia we have the same problem with our judges. Mind you the pollies wi5h their refusal to act unless they’re absolutely positively certain they’ll lose a lot of votes should share the blame as well.
