It is easier to be a radical if you not driven by money.

At least Neil is trying and he stands up for the truth.

Rogan is just more hot topic right wing lies to provoke anger.

Rogan’s rhetoric supports the fascists so I guess you do what you can.

Spotify will get along fine without Neil… and I have always found his singing annoying.

@moderateisntleft: Yes, most of us, if we understood the definition of “fascist”, would volunteer to be anti-fascist. Perhaps you should use a dictionary.

Yes, the person who wrote “This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land” was considered a rabble-rouser. Truth-tellers often are. And peaceniks, from Jesus through the Kennedys and MLK, get killed for their beliefs.

    Curious creatures, these humans.

Young owns the rights to his stuff so he can remove it. One Woody Guthrie song heard once by one person wasn’t a big thing. Lots of songs heard by lots of people are a much bigger thing. Streaming services in general have refined the art of, uh, forced copulation of artists, to levels never before reached in the music business. They’ve broken exploitation records set by smart amoral people. I know, Young has done well in music. He would have done even better if he’d gotten a fair share.

The problem with this cartoon is that it wasn’t Spotify that got rid of Neil’s music, it was Neil who demanded they remove his music because of their handling of Covid misinformation.

“Political” music once had great power to influence. Now it’s just angry and nasty rhetoric put to some sort of beat.

Obvious differences in degree in each case. Doesn’t matter to conservatives/Republicans then…or now. They consider fascists to be useful allies.
