This doesn’t mean Democrats agree with her on those issues. She’s still a vile republican, but she is useful in taking down her treasonous colleagues (and hopefully her party).

Churchill & Stalin made common cause in WWII. They were both monsters themselves, but the line about bedfellows is often apt.

We’re not all idiots Ted. We get who she is politically and personally but as it relates to Trump, she’s doing the right thing. What you don’t get AND HAVE NEVER GOTTEN is that sometimes in order to get things done occasionally you have to dance with the Devil.

She is being praised by Dems for at least recognizing the dangers of Trump to U.S. democracy and fighting it. No Dems are praising her for her other viewpoints but first things first.

Like the US and England joining forces with Russia and the Monster Stalin to defeat the even greater evil of Nazi Germany she and the Dems are working together to defeat the greater evil of Trump. In this toon it seems like Mr. Rall is again demanding purity and that is a form of extremism which we are witnessing is tearing our country apart.

Oh yes, the world is out to get trump! Everytime a person looks at him crosseyed and says boo, he hits back with his stupid comments and insults, whether it is a Judge, Friend, Senator, Vice President, Relative, or anyone. It is NEVER his fault, it is always the other person. Hmmm, pattern here???

I could have seen the orange idiot going Left Populist, too; he wavered at one point on universal health care. But as with his infrastructure week, after placing his ass in the air to see which way the wind was blowing, he was on to his next trope.

I don’t always agree with Ted, but he is correct in reminding us that Liz Cheney is no friend of the people, despite getting this one thing right.

As a Wyomingite, thank you for this. It’s maddening to see moderate conservatives who formerly called her a carpet bagger singing her praises, and the far right Trumpists after her job. I will say I don’t know a single Wyoming Democrat (few though there may be) singing her praises or planning to vote for her.

and I used to think the Dick & Liz Cheney’s were the worst the GOP had to offer. Anyone have a light strong enough to find the bottom of the well?

Those who are unwilling to accept views that are not their own will grasp at any straw if it justifies their belief … often ignoring many other issues the completely bury that single straw. Our constitutional quasi-democratic republic was intended to be inclusive, —discussing, understanding, debating, and resolving issues, not dividing, opposing, and floundering dysfunctionally.

Neo-Cons are only ½ step to the left of tRump’s fascism. But it’s a good thing to watch Republicans feast on Republicans. Democrats would be well advised to heed Julius Caesar’s “divide et impera.”

I understand the sentiment, however, her views on these issues of legitimate political discourse almost certainly reflect her constituency. Many of her views are distasteful to many of us.

But, she understands the existential threat of the attrempted coup and is willing to speak and act against it. Would that more of her partisans would do likewise.

Maybe Bennie Thompson and the others were using Reverse-Psychology by appointing Cheney & Kinzinger as a olive branch for compromise between the two parties in hopes to soften up the Republicans to help pass the Democrats Agenda. If that was the plan, it fell through to the basement floor of the Capital with a THUD!

But…the enemy of my enemy is my friend. (For now.) I’d love it if we could go back to hating Cheney, but we have more important things to do first.

Actually, Dad Cheney supported Trump in FATUS’ early days — don’t know how Vice feels about him now. As for the rest…someone tell Ted that “politics makes strange bedfellows.”

We know she’s still a monster, but against Trump, the biggest threat America ever faced, she’s a temporary ally. We know damned well how horrible she is on everything else, and we are fighting her on behalf of the American People on all of them.

It figures, someone who clearly has a thick layer of Trump Mind-Sludge things that Democrats think Liz Cheney is on their side.

Hating a deplorable, fascist, Stalinist monster like Trump is her ONLY redeeming quality, and unlike you mind-puppets on the right, we have never forgotten that.

She is NOT our friend. She is NOT on America’s side. She’s just taking out her competition in fascist madness.

As usual, the underlying message of every Rall cartoon is “if you don’t agree with me on every last thing, you are evil – there is no room, ever, for compromise or coalitions.”

And then he wonders why his preferred policies never happen.
