I fear that we are heading in that direction. VOTE! Especially in local election. Including school boards.

Very VERY sad that this is actually believable. Though the video monitor is too large for most of the homes where this would apply, I suspect.

A few years ago this cartoon would have been kind of funny without being political… sad.

High school history texts are full of crap already. Mostly lies of omission.

Republican school boards demand that this cartoon is banned. Our children must be protected.

Finding the book was a good start, but mother should check his computer searches also, and ask the local school board for suggested parental controls. Things like this can get out of control, he may grow up to be a LIBERAL. /s

The quicker they can get the teachers to quit and the system to collapse, the quicker they can privatize and rebuild the system into the little conservative indoctrination centers that they want and brainwash kids while they’re too young to question it. Make no mistake about it, this is a calculated move and these repugs just want to raise mushrooms.

Send the kid to an Alt-Reich re-education camp to burn those dangerous ideas out of his brain.

This toon is a hopeful sign: tell a child that they can’t do or have something is the surest way for them to do it and sneak around finding it.

History books are again under fire for teaching things some people don’t want to know. I remember, a while back, some saying that their history books didn’t mention anything about great black leaders. But, I well remember my third grade history text, back in 1958, talking about the great abolitionist, Frederick Douglas, and the great botanist, Washington Carver. I especially remember Carver for his development of vegetable varieties that we still consume, today.

A physical book? The horror! What next, a fountain pen and proper letter paper?
