MSNBC talking head Malcolm Nance said it was a master class in “How to openly Broadcast for America’s enemies.” He said Carlson is playing the part of a Fifth Column – or as Merriam-Webster says, “a group of secret sympathizers or supporters of an enemy that engage in espionage or sabotage within defense lines or national borders.”

“It is really bizarre, but unsurprising to hear Tucker Carlson repeating Russian state talking points that are over a decade old, St. Julian-Varnon said after I asked for a response to the Carlson clip.

“I’ve written about the connections between the alt-right and Russia. There is an echo chamber between the two that is terrifying,” she said.

She added: “The 180 turn from Republican views during the Cold War to accommodating Russian views on NATO is something to behold.”

Former president Donald Trump is facing backlash on social media after a video showed him asking people to clap for him at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

In a video shared by PatriotTakes, a website which tracks right wing media on Sunday, Mr Trump can be seen raising his hands asking a crowd seen dining to clap for him.

When the crowd starts to cheer and clap for him, Mr Trump can be seen showing a thumbs up and moving away.

“Trump asking for applause from the Mar-a-Lago brunch crowd. Sad,” said the tweet by PatriotTakes.

“In other words, ‘please clap.’ Same energy as Jeb Bush,” it added.

Even Jeb Bush wouldn’t clap for this.

Jeff, that looks to be the very best answer to so many issues we face. I’d suggest we include all of tRump’s supporters in trade for Ukrainians even up.

they STILL want Trump as President For Life.

They crave an economy that is just like that of Russia.

And they have passed laws that allow for election nullification as part of voter suppression.

To be a true depiction of the Russian image Trump needs to be (gleefully) throwing a baby over the side to slow the wolves down. Or just throwing a baby over the side, wolves or not.
