Kenny is no longer in “Husky-Hell” as he was yesterday with snow out the outside of the wall and green grass inside where he was …….. and the brick outer wall has changed to chain-link fence too.

Anyway, Huskies don’t want sunbeams. They want “EYEfff KREEffff!” ( ice cream! ) and they even say so, but huskies don’t have lips to make the “m” sound so this is the best pronunciation they can manage (copy & paste link) : https://youtu.be/nv2_9zANCgg?t=60

That is perfection. One happy husky.

I used to work with a guy who had a husky. The neighbors would report him to the police whenever they saw the dog outside in winter. What these neighbors didn’t understand is that huskies are bred for being out in the cold; they like being in the cold. My co-worker said that the poor dog was miserable indoors, panting heavily and always wanting to be let out.

Saw a YouTube of somebody’s husky, it had a long stretch of sunny, dry pavement & was curled up on the snow, in the shade, looking as happy as a kid at it’s birthday party. Husky’s are like that.

My collie mix lays on the deck in the sun in below 0 temps. When I try to call him in, he looks at me like I’m insane.

We installed a heater in my dogs house & she chooses to lay out in the frost.

Had a Husky grand dog. One summer, he went for a swim in our pool. Thought my pool filter would never get all that fur. It did but wanted to renegotiate it’s contract.

My Min Pin, Jack, loved laying in the sun on the grass. As he got older he enjoyed it more and more. The heat from the sun and coolness of the grass / ground made for a perfect naptime for him.

My Husky, Sheba, would lay I the snow in the sun, and would not come in. Neighborhoods called animal protection who came to save the dog. They gave up, she wasn’t coming in for them or anyone.

Our two Borzoi would go out and lay on the snow for hours.Of course, the breed is originally from Russia …..
