Why would a party without a platform have any need for a debate?

The GQP won’t want the halo or angel wings. Sends the wrong signal. And the apple pie is optional: They aren’t running on the old standards, but the NEW “standards”. But I expect they’ll demand a kill switch for the Democratic candidate… unless they demand a 10 minute delay so they can alter what that candidate seems to be saying.

The cartoonist missed a few things the RNC will demand:

    Republican debater:

    — Will be lowered Deus Ex Machina from above the stage. — Fat, funky little angels (chubby cherubs) will hover around. — His voice will resonate, god-like. — Manna will rain down at key rhetorical phrases.

    Democratic debater:

    — Sulfurous vapors will emanate from his podium. — Lighting shines from underneath, to lend a sinister appearance. — Bats will skitter about, banshee sounds will wail eerily. — Music motifs to alternate between circus themes and “The Cruel Landlord”

Now, come on. Vlad Putin has crowned himself “Czar of all Russia”. Trump must do better: “Emperor of the Universe”.

No republican candidate will ever need to debate anyone again if voter repression continues. Especially with all the cheating the GOP is planning. White patriarchy will be damned if it allows equality and equity for anyone else.

Trump and his children ‘personally implicated’ in fraud probe by NY attorney general

James filed a motion to compel testimony and obtain documents from Trump and his two eldest children in the fraud case, which the attorney general said had misled the IRS and financial institutions about real estate values — and a source familiar with the investigation said the evidence was strong, reported Rolling Stone.

“The key thing here is this new information demonstrates that Trump and his family are personally implicated in this fraud,” the source said.

Trump Organization responds to detailed fraud case by personally attacking the New York AG

“The only one misleading the public is Letitia James. She defrauded New Yorkers by basing her entire candidacy on a promise to get Trump at all costs without having seen a shred of evidence and in violation of every conceivable ethical rule,” the statement from the Trump Organization read. “Three years later she is now faced with the stark reality that she has no case. So, in response to Trump suing her and filing multiple ethical complaints, and on the heels of her failed governor’s race, she has no choice but to mislead the public yet again by misrepresenting the facts and ignoring her own inflammatory comments. Her allegations are baseless and will be vigorously defended.”

Capitol rioter ordered back to jail after DWI arrest, discovery of AR-15 rifle in car

A man accused of rioting at the U.S. Capitol has been ordered to be returned to federal custody after authorities said he tried to flee an arrest on suspicion of drunk driving last month and police found an AR-15 rifle in his car.

The man, James Tate Grant, 29, of North Carolina, was on pretrial release in connection with allegations that he assaulted two police officers at the rampage on Jan. 6, 2021.

In the incident last month, a Garner police officer responded to a restaurant in Wake County, North Carolina, around 5 a.m. and found Grant in his vehicle, according to the motion to revoke his release. He appeared to be intoxicated, and the officer began a DWI investigation, it said.

As he was being arrested, Grant tried to flee, the filing said.

“He then dropped to the ground and stated something to the effect of ‘Just kill me now.’ He then stated, ‘It’s over,’” according to the filing and the police report.

In Grant’s car, police recovered an AR-15 assault rifle, 60 rounds of ammunition, weapon accessories and combat fatigues, court documents said.

Some members of the “media” at the Biden press conference were deplorable. The JA that asked about how “some people” say that Biden has cognitive issues was ignored, as it should be. Considering how long Biden continued to answer questions after that, I think that “reporter” is the one that has problems with his mental abilities.
