The two of them are RINOs. Manchin, at least, has some history and a sense of self preservation. She’s got a lot less… which is very small indeed!

She takes money from the right wing and doesn’t care if you can vote or not.

She’s bought and paid for.

She is one of the few Senators who are not millionaires. She’d like to be one. So she’s sold out. After she loses the primary in 2024 she will move on to some figurehead, insanely lucrative position that will pad her bank account. Wingnut Welfare. Look for her on Fox next year: “You can believe her because she used to be a Democrat!”

Part of the deal of her selling out could include a presidential run to try and (mostly) attack Biden as partisan.

Don’t care if God saves THIS Queen, but hope he saves the people held hostage in the Jewish Synagogue in Colleyville, Texas. Maybe one of Trump’s supporters heard him recently badmouthing the Jews and Israel ? Maybe Hannity will blame Biden? The new Fox & Friends? Can hardly wait for Trump to arrive in Arizona and tell us today. . .

Manchin, McConnell and Simena (and many others) need to resign. Since they won’t, we need to vote them out asap.

 sigh   And I remember how happy I was when she beat McSally, thinking it might’ve been the best election result of the evening.

Is she still self-isolating? I mean from her constituents, her electorate that she refuses to meet with on any topic. Gosh, what did they do? Except vote for her that is. That was a big mistake.

Don’t waste another second negotiating with Manchin and Sinema. Deliver an ultimatum, allow for a filibuster carve out for voting rights or get the hell out of the democratic party, period.

The alternative to Cinema was Mcsally, inarguably a worse choice. Kursten seems to have become a victim of a certain dementia I have seen in women of her age… When we manage to replace her, unfortunately not until 2124, she will be found pushing her shopping cart full of thrift store wardrobe and screaming at passers-by in a grocery store parking lot.

So when the Republicans were contemplating removing the filibuster because Reid and Schumer were blocking EVERYTHING, Schumer, Biden, Durbin, etc. were expounding poetically the importance of the filibuster and how it would save Democracy.

Now that they are in power, they whine about their saving grace when Republicans ruled.

Sinema hit it right. Both sides whine about the filibuster when they are in majority and laud its purpose when in the minority. The filibuster makes sure bills are bipartisan, more likely to be for the benefit of all people.

In 2025, imagine a Republican President, Republican House and a 54/44/2 Republican majority in the Senate. Do the progressives really want the Republicans to force their entire agenda without the filibuster? Didn’t think so.
