I could have sworn I saw Pres. Biden at the Capitol on January 6. And today in Georgia.Sure did not see any disrespectful repubs on January 6. They were afraid of offending the defeated previous prez.

But Goodwyn was fine with Trump self-dealing and grifting while keeping everything covered up.

Biden brings the fight to Republicans in fiery voting rights speech

The president explained that over the past several months he’s been “quietly” having conversations with lawmakers — and then he slammed his hand on the lectern and shouted, “I’m tired of being quiet!”

Biden specifically called out the 16 Republicans who have been willing to vote to extend the Voting Rights Act in years past, but now, suddenly have decided to oppose the law. He began by giving credit to Republicans and Democrats who worked together in the past to approve the bill, including former President George W. Bush. In 2020, Biden noted that Republicans stood for democracy and fought to uphold the will of the people. The new laws, however, “Trump loyalists in charge of deciding the vote count.”

He detailed some of the absurd laws passed by Republican legislatures to place restrictions on voting. In Georgia, for example, they made it a crime to hand food or water to anyone waiting in line to vote.

“Jim Crow 2.0 is about voter suppression and election subversion,” Biden said. He went on to attack former President Donald Trump without mentioning his name, saying “The goal of the former president is to disenfranchise anyone who votes against them.”

“The U.S. Senate has been rendered a shell of its former self,” he said. “It gives me no satisfaction in saying that.”

“The filibuster is not used by Republicans to bring the Senate closer together — but to pull it apart,” Biden continued. If voting rights legislation continues to be blocked, he adds: “We have no option but to change the Senate rules, including getting rid of the filibuster for this.”

It not him and his supporters hiding documents from the Jan. 6th commission. If they want to prove they are right, then show and testify.

Goodwyn is again trying to distract from the various Trump admin officials, like Meadows, who are pleading the fifth. And, of course, all the pardons of the convicted and indicted criminals of the Trump administration.

We have yet to see Trump’s tax returns, which he promised to share after the audit was over. I’d say the audit has been long over, and yet he’s still fighting to keep them secret. And that’s the tip of the iceberg of Trump’s lack of transparency during his presidency. Which is ironic, because the grifter, cheat, and insurrectionist leader is incredibly transparent in every other way.

More, typical, head in the sand ostrich behavior from conservatives. You must miss the daily racist, fascist word salad spoutings of DJT promoting his syphilis-minded philosophies of American exceptionalism whilst crotch grinding on the American flag.

tRump has got a rally coming up in Arizona on the weekend. It’s bound to be a greatest lies fest, nothing new.

Transparency occurs when truth is said. It doesn’t have to be spouted very often once truth be said. Biden is truthful. A rare quality in today’s politics.

There was a White House press conference yesterday and President Biden gave a speech in Georgia. I think Al needs to renew his knowledge of the definition of “hidin”.

Just wait until we see the firings, the embittered departures, the reports of chaos, the cover-ups, the indictments, and of course the tell-all books from repentant ex-staffers. Keep waiting!

I see that Comrade goodwyn has checked with his republigoon masters, who told him what to draw.

Even during the Civil War that never ever happened. But it happened here in 2021. What else did you see? A mob, breaking windows, kicking in doors, breaching the Capitol, American flags on poles being used as weapons, as spears. Fire extinguishers being thrown at the heads of police officers. A crowd that professes their love for law enforcement assaulted those police officers. Dragged them, sprayed them, stomped on them.

Over 140 police officers were injured. We all heard the police officers who were there that day testify to what happened. One officer called it “a medieval battle” and that he was more afraid that day than he was fighting the war in Iraq. They repeatedly asked since that day, “How dare anyone, anyone diminish, belittle or deny the hell they were put through?”

We saw with our own eyes, rioters menace these halls, threatening the life of the Speaker of the House. Literally erecting gallows to hang the Vice President of the United States of America.

What did we not see? We didn’t see a former president who had just rallied the mob to attack sitting in the private dining room off the Oval Office in the White House watching it all on television. And doing nothing. For hours. As police were assaulted. Lives at risk. The nation’s capital under siege.

This wasn’t a group of tourists. This was an armed insurrection. They weren’t looking to uphold the will of the people. They were looking to deny the will of the people. They were looking to uphold— they weren’t looking to uphold a free and fair election, they were looking to overturn one. They weren’t looking to save the cause of America. They were looking to subvert the Constitution.

This isn’t about being bogged down in the past. It’s about making sure the past isn’t buried. That’s the only way forward. That’s what great nations do. They don’t bury the truth, they face up to it. Sounds like hyperbole, but that’s the truth, they face up to it.
