God needed another actor for his theater group. R. I. P good sir.

I did not always agree with his politics, but he had a good heart and was a great actor.

Amen brother, amen.

You will be remembered. You will be missed. RIP

Time to watch, Lillies of the Field , my favorite Poitier movie.

One of my favorites. I do get upset with “He was the first black actor…” crap. That’s like saying “The blue-eyed actor, Paul Newman…” or “The bald actor, Yul Brynner…” He was an Actor. He won an Academy Award.

We seem to be losing great people at an increased rate recently, and he was definitely one of the greats. RIP

He made his film debut in the classic film THE BLACKBOARD JUNGLE.

And I remember him from an indie called VIRGIN ISLANDS.

A great actor.

We are losing those who inspired us and taught us to be better.
