Just realized, I never used carrots, or hats-scarves-etc on snowmen. I used stones from our driveway to make the facial features & sticks for arms & that’s all she wrote. Carrots were Foooddd & our Mom took a dim view of putting our outerwear on a pile of snow! My older brother made a giant chocolate-Easter-bunny-shaped rabbit one year, then used wire coat hanger pieces for whiskers & as supports to hold the ears in place. He filled a squirt bottle with blue food dye colored water & made a blue bunny. Local newspaper came out & took pix & he & my lil sis got the front page…I wasn’t home, or I’d’ve been in on it also.
