    Vlad, you weren’t the only one that picked the wrong President. Millions of Americans did the same thing because they thought Trump could give them what they each personally wanted and some still do. He never has cared about anyone but himself.

    Donald Trump Planned to Stoke Unrest, Call Out Troops, General Milley Feared

    One if by land, north side of Lincoln Memorial" on the Potomac river, Kelly Meggs posted on an encrypted Signal group chat on January 2, portentously referring to the famous Paul Revere ride from the American revolution. All during the day, organizers and protestors who would later be indicted for their roles on January 6 spoke of a quick reaction force (QRF) that would wait on the shore of the capital city ready to bring in weapons.

    Meggs, 52, a Dunnellon, Florida, resident and self-described leader of the state chapter of the Oath Keepers, compared the storming of the Capitol building to the Boston Tea Party of 1773. On January 2, he posted a map of the city showing two water landings near the Lincoln Memorial and then further south near the tidal basin on Ohio Drive, labeling them QRF rally points where protestors might pick up their “long” guns.

    Joshua James, another indicted protestor, received a message that same day asking about weapons. He advised an unindicted friend that it would be better to leave them home, that the “QRF will have weapons.”

    Others—Derek Kinnison (“midnightrider”), Tony Martinez (“blue collar patriot”), Ronald Mele (“redline”), and Erik Scott Warner (“silvirsurfer”)—discussed their own weapons plans. In a photograph taken on January 2, the four men posed, making a hand gesture associated with the Three Percenters, before getting in an SUV and driving cross country from Temecula, California, to the nation’s capital. They called themselves the DC Brigade. Kinnison also posted an image of himself with a bandolier of shotgun ammunition around his body. “We will have lots of gear from medical kits, radios, multiple cans of bear spray, knives, flags, [armor] plates, goggles, helmets,” he posted.

    Gen. Steve Anderson on January 6 and the “domestic cancer” threatening American democracy

    Forty-three years ago, I swore an oath to protect the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Back then, who could have imagined the domestic attack on our democracy a year ago this week?

    I’ve become increasingly concerned that our military has become politicized and infected by the acrimony that plagues our society today.

    Just consider this:

    At least 10% of the January 6th insurrectionists charged with crimes served in the military;

    Over 100 retired senior service leaders signed an open letter supporting Trump’s “Big Lie” about the 2020 election;

    Convicted felon retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn advocated military action to support this claim; and The Republican Party spent the last year downplaying the insurrection and obstructing investigations.

    All this nonsense may confuse our troops on the difference between allegiance to a leader and allegiance to our Constitution.

    Such confusion could set conditions for another coup attempt, a thought that chills me to the bone.

    So, what should we do?

    First, all insurrectionists must be held accountable, to include the politicians that supported the Capitol assault.

    As all intelligent people know, and all honest people admit, Donald John Trump betrayed the United Staes of America on January 6th, 2021. But when did he FIRST betray the United States? Many would say at Helsinki, at his closed-door meeting with the dictator and war criminal Putin. (At which meeting Putin told Trump exactly which of the two of them was the poodle.) I, however, woulld say that Trump FIRST betrayed the United States of America when he declared for the presidency. Because an unhinged and evil man cannot POSSIBLY be fit to be president. Conservative icon George Will: “Anybody who would agree to become Trump’s running mate would be unqualified—because he would think Trump was qualified.”

    Vlad got all he dreamed of from Rump and then kicked him to the curb like yesterdays trash when the scumbag grifter LOST the election. It’s exactly where a POS like Rump belongs. Rump’s place in the trash heap of history has been reserved.

    Trump ‘Went to War With Rule of Law’ in Jan. 6 Riot, Cheney Says

    Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney, one of two Republicans on the bipartisan committee, described Trump’s “dereliction of duty” as he watched from the White House while events unfolded, and resisted calls from his children and allies to intervene.

    Democratic Representative Bennie Thompson of Mississippi, who chairs the select committee, said the panel is looking at whether Trump’s actions were part of a broader plan, and whether they merit criminal referral to the U.S. Justice Department.

    Trump “demonstrated he’s at war with the rule of law, that he’s willing to blow through every guardrail of democracy,”

    Cheney said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “We’re in situation where people have got to understand the danger of President Trump.”

    Those warnings are taking on greater urgency approaching Thursday, the one-year anniversary of the attack. Trump, 75, continues to repeat false claims about his 2020 electoral defeat, and has hinted at plans to run for the White House in 2024. The House committee’s final report is expected by the end of the year, potentially coinciding with midterm elections in November.

    Cheney: Trump Watched Jan. 6 Violence On TV, Ignored Pleas To Intervene

    resident Donald Trump watched the Jan. 6 violence unfold at the U.S. Capitol from a television inside the White House and repeatedly resisted pleas for him to intervene, including those made by his own family, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said Sunday, citing what she called “first-hand testimony” obtained by the House committee investigating the attack.

    “We know, as he was sitting there in the dining room next to the Oval Office, members of his staff were pleading with him to go on television to tell people to stop,” Cheney, who is vice chair of the committee, said in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.

    “We know [House Republican Leader Kevin] McCarthy was pleading with him to do that,” she continued. “We have first-hand testimony that his daughter, Ivanka, went in at least twice, to ask him to please stop this violence.”
