Peter Navarro wrote a book about how he and Steve Bannon planned and executed Trump’s failed 1/6 coup with the help of 100 congressmen including Paul Gosar and Ted Cruz. “Peter Navarro complained that Capitol rioters on Jan. 6 ruined his and Steve Bannon’s plans to overturn the 2020 general election “because we had over 100 congressmen committed to it.”

Why are they not all in handcuffs? The entire Sedition Caucus, all 147 of them, should be brought up on charges of trying to defeat the peaceful transition of power by obstructing an official proceeding. Appoint a Special Counsel to investigate tRump’s and co-conspirators coup attempt and any involvement with Jan. 6th.

I’ve cited previously the legal precedents and amendments that require their removal. The Patriot Act, Homeland Security and Gitmo are all repug wet dreams that they couldn’t wait to establish, USE THEM. The GQP, NRA and FOX are pro fascist, anti Democracy, seditious, treasonous domestic terrorists. The Patriot Act allows the seizure of phone records and communications, you don’t need their permission.

Haul their double-wide worthless asses off to Gitmo, seize their passports and assets so the legal system can do it’s duty with out their further committing of crimes and obstruction. Everyone of them are fans of “enhanced interrogation” so throw that in as a bonus. Stop pussyfooting around with traitors and terrorists.

Are we talking about the whole damn place, or just the prison? It is a navy base of some import you know.

The Naval Base was built in 1903 and should have been closed post-WW2.

My ship (USS Barry DD-933) visited Guantanamo in the late 60’s. At that time the base could have been taken over by Castro forces any time he wanted to; we didn’t have sufficient military presence to defend it. Why did Castro honor the lease agreement? Because it was good for the Cuban economy. It was fascinating to watch the gates being opened every day to let the local Cubans employed by the base in to go to work.
