Stars in team sports have the weight of a city on their shoulders. That’s something stars of individual sports don’t have to contend with. Also, even though teammates can “share the pressure,” there’s tremendous pressure to not let them down. If a tennis player loses match point, only the player loses the match; if a wide receiver drops what would have been a game-winning touchdown pass, the whole team loses the game.

Tennis players get paid if they lose, just not as much as if they win.

Tennis players. (Generally) the most over rated, self centred, mollycoddled, such ups in sport. They apparently can’t even concentrate or play shots unless the crowds are absolutely silent.And the women want equal prize money even though their matches are around 40% shorter than men’s (3 sets instead of 5) and they don’t draw as much sponsorship and media revenue.Poor darlings. No sympathy
