I see they forgot to color Phoebe’s legs in the last panel. I thought she was wearing socks at first.

My parents allowed us to stay up as long as we wanted Christmas night, to play with the new toys, construct the new models, etc. I well remember the year (I was 12) that I stayed up until the plastic model was finished (except for paint and decals) AND it was past midnight! Boy did bed feel good! Of course, regular bedtime that year was 8:30.

New years was never a big deal: No TV, no local celebration, not much point.

That was probably one of my big accomplishments before I became a night owl!

My parents always went out on New Year’s Eve. We got to have potato chips and Pepsi. A rare treat in those days. At midnight we would go outside and bang on pans with wooden spoons. Woo Hoo!

She beat Millie’s record by eight whole minutes.

Actually did a lot of sleeping earlier after a dinner of pizza and deserts delivered.

So unlike Phoebe I’m making the most of my New Year’s. Yep playing Dragon Quest II on Mobile and watching HCBailly’s playthrough of the NES port of III (Basic when the series was localized as Dragon Warrior). Yep, bragging right for me:-D.

Way better that last year. Sigh… a day Phoebe will be able to stay awake all night.

Phoebe fell asleep so hard that her leg turned white.

In the fourth panel, Phoebe’s legs weren’t colored in.
