Looks like Ramirez is one of several GOP supporters cutting their losses on the Trump inspired insurrection. The GOPs rotting from the core.

Funny how so many that proclaim their innocence don’t want to show up to prove it.

What? Didn’t we all watch the MAINLY PEACEFUL PROTESTS? Even the one on Jan 6th? Opps, that one does not match because it was not MAINLY DEMOCRATS!

Ya know, Mr. Ramirez, if you just keep thinking about this – and some few of your other ’toons – you might be able to help!

    We all KNOW the facts

    The question IS:

How long will it take for the committee to charge the orange barrel of lies and to be convicted?

This is not justice…we need a swift and speedy trial for justice to be served!

Just like Climate Change…it’s all a hoax…nothing more entertaining than yanking on the fish hook in the mouths of the gullible…except you’d think the gullible would notice the pain, but then you’re talking about the gullible…

I’m still waiting for the committees that will investigate what was going on in Portland, Seattle, Minnesota, Baltimore, Chicago, etc with the same zeal as the January 6 riot. I guess I’d better not hold my breath.

IF the Republicans manage to take the House in 2022, I for one want the Jan 6th investigatory committee to CONTINUE – but be revamped to actually be bipartisan, AND expanded in scope to include ALL the insurrectionary riots of 2020; i.e., ALL of the riots which included violence and called for overthrow of legal governmental authority.

I don’t think anyone denies there was a riot, it wasn’t an “insurrection”. Of course the same people calling it an insurrection and an attempt to overthrow the United States government also called the riots in Minnesota and other cities “peaceful protests”.

The Justice Department has charged the defendants with “obstructing the congressional proceedings on January 6 to count the electoral votes and finalize President Joe Biden’s victory. That felony charge has a maximum sentence of 20 years — the same punishment as the sedition charge but more tailored to the situation of blocking Congress’ certification of the Electoral College result. In fact, three rioters who have already pleaded guilty have pleaded to this obstruction charge, with one admitting that he had taken part in an extensive conspiracy among the Oath Keepers extremist group intended to thwart Congress on January 6.” It seems the charges are sensible and the administration folks are trying to low key the sedition/insurrection attempt characterization of the actions. I’m sure there were different motivations for the various defendants but breaking and entering with intent to stop the vote count certainly counts as criminal.

If the GOP manages to take back both the House and Senate (although I’m hoping that’s not the case), they may end up being the foil to Biden the way the GOP ended up being the foil to Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Both Presidents saw their party lose both houses of Congress in 1994 and 2010. That did not stop either President from handily winning reelection in 1996 and 2012. So, by 2024, things might end up looking far different for the Dems.
