Lisa’s toon has a bit of truth to it. Yes, somewhere in January there was snow when Covid made it’s presence known. But, in Seattle, Washington, where I don’t think snow existed, I believe the first appearance of Covid was detected. Dump should’ve asked the Washington governor to shut down the state and he could’ve put a halt to travel to the west coast, especially from China, where the disease was raging. But, all this is just speculation and we can’t ask the Denier-in-Chief to acknowledge anything negative on his watch. Why, he might look bad.

Whatever one’s differences are with Ms Benson, it’s an excellent cartoon. And it’s apolitical as far as I can see. As an aside: I agree with Ms Benson about 2% of the time, maybe less; but I think she’s one of the best cartoonists that I know of. Her work is always insightful, on point, clever, and tasteful. Of course, I wish she were on the other side of the political tribal war that the US in engaged in…

…but it all just magically disappeared…
