They think X-45 is so rich and famous and powerful that if they support him they will get well-paid jobs in high office when he ascends to power (please, God, NO!). Never mind his track record of abusing and betraying and simply not paying his employees. Trumpservatives call liberals “snowflakes”, but in reality each and every one of his scurvy minions is convinced that they are SO SPECIAL, and they’ll become his permanent pets despite all evidence to the contrary.

Congressman suggests Trump officials will take Fifth Amendment to avoid being hanged for treason
Advisors to Donald Trump who take the Fifth Amendment while testifying before the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol are doing so to evade a death sentence, a Democratic congressman suggested on Tuesday.
Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D CO) made his comments as the House Rules Committee was considering a resolution to refer former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows to the Department of Justice for criminal prosecution for contempt of Congress.
Perlmutter began his comments by noting the oath of office that Donald Trump took at his 2017 inauguration.
“… which is why I think that we’re going to see the Fifth Amendment being played, ’whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levees war against them or adheres to their enemies giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere is guilty of treason and shall suffer death. This is a death penalty statute! Or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000 and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States,” he said.
“Just the memos that have been disclosed to this point, in my opinion, are treasonous. We danced around this a lot, and we talk about obstructing Congress and things like that, but this was an effort to have a coup, to overthrow the country, to break the pledge of allegiance we make to this country and to the constitution,” he explained.
Jen Psaki shames Fox News hosts for privately condemning MAGA riot — then ‘spreading lies’ about it anyway
“It’s disappointing, and unfortunately not surprising, that some of the very same individuals who were willing to mourn, condemn, and express horror over what happened on January 6 in private, were totally silent in public,” she said. “Or, even worse, were spreading lies and conspiracy theories, and have continued to since that time.”
Trump loses bid to block his tax returns from Congress
A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit Tuesday that was brought by former President Donald Trump in his attempt to block congressional lawmakers from obtaining his tax returns.
The ruling, handed down by U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden — a former Justice Department official and Trump appointee — found that the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee has broad authority, and the Treasury Department should provide the tax returns to the committee.

The word missing from trump’s quote here is exactly what I think of the republicans who still kowtow to trump, even though he’s a proven loser.
