Funny. When the GOP is running the show, not one Conservative cartoonists brings up “debt, big government (Trump did make the Government bigger during is term), or any “noise” about reckless spending”.

And yet this Congress hasn’t come any where near the debt levels created by the GOP sponsored 2017 tax cuts that benefited no one but the wealthy. Get your facts straight, Ramirez.

When will people learn that their definition of big government is one that actually serves them and not just the rich

Depends on what you spend the money on. From the guy who proposed the federal highway system, a “big government” project:

“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.” Yes, Virginia, there were once humane Republicans.

Can “American Pie” not conceive of the notion that a complex, interdependent population needs a government that serves all the people instead of merely certain people? Grover Norquist was wrong.

The regressives have no platform except to lower taxes and worship a psychopathic malignant narcissist cult leader. Literally, no platform. All they want to do is argue about transgender bathroom use and Dr Suess. Moscow Mitch said as much. The regressives will have no platform for the 2022 elections, waiting for their messiah to run in 2024. Those poor twisted people.

Real, substantive problems face us and the regressives want to become heavily armed and put blinders and earplugs on.

The poor dumb regressives are so ignorant they cannot wrap their heads around the fact that 70% of our GDP is created by heavily populated counties that tend to vote for Democrats. For the wealth creators in our society, the regressives are toxic agents of ignorance.

Truth hurts, Pie. If you really were interested in smaller government, you would be open to cutting the military budget. It’s bloated by at least $400 billion a year. All focused on more effective ways to kill people. Now THAT’S really productive, doncha think?

If WWII were being fought today, with rations and other mandates in place to keep our country safe, we would surely lose the War.

Certainly the debt.. is an issue. But the attack on America comes from within.. from the likes of Fox News.. from the likes of Michael.. from trump.. from the republican appointed judges.. from republican politicians. Domination, at any cost… democracy/the will of the people.. be damned.

I’d bet Ramirez didn’t bat an eye when Reagan tripled our National Debt, and Bush2 tripled it again.

Of course, when Trump was giving away money (stimulus checks and tax breaks) and raised the national debt by almost $7.8 trillion, Republicans were not concerned about big government or debt…

Ever since FRD left the oval office, certain politicians have focused on reducing tax revenues (In the hopes of garnering votes? Or maybe just fixing their own tax burdens? Who knows?), yet, the country still has bills that came due and are now requiring interest payments which next year alone will run about 305 billion. And that’s AFTER Reagun used the social security funds to help ‘balance the budget’. So, where is the fiscal responsibility to, at least, pay off the past due portion? There is none, as R’s like #45 would rather not collect trillions even though it was greatly needed for all his hollow promises.

Let’s see here, in 2016, when Herr Trump took office, the debt was (billions, rounded) $19,573 and the Debt-to-GDP Ratio was at 105%! In 2021 (s far) , when Herr Trump left office, the debt is (in billions, rounded) $28,400 and the Debt-to-GDP Ratio is 125%! That means that President Biden INHERITED a debt that ROSE, once again in billions and rounded, 8,827 in FOUR YEARS and a Debt-to-GDP Ratio that ROSE 20%, also in four years! “Mr.” Ramirez and the other republican sycophants and apologists like montana billyboy, the one trick pony (in one of its many accounts) and the rest of their ilk, DO NOT WANT you to KNOW that! It does not fit their demented, twisted, warped agenda.

Caller on progressive talk radio has worked with people in rural Pennsylvania, going door-to-door in several elections. When he talks to people without mentioning party, the majority agree with progressive ideas, particularly about the wealthy paying more taxes. The 2017 tax bill contained deductions for private planes, massive tax breaks for pass-thru companies and LLCs while capping deductions in blue states that support schools. The interest rate needs to go up because too many are avoiding taxes by getting paid in stock and then borrowing with the stock as collateral.

Infrastructure investment is LONG overdue. Build Back Better will create jobs, support internet access for everyone (similar to electricity project did) and help to combat climate change.

Since, for some pathological reason, I read these comics every day, I know that Ramirez did not sketch a single one about debt when a Republican was in the white house. Like all Republicans, Ramirez is a traitor.
