Verne if that would happen we would just blow the asteroid up . When it comes to that point will the powers that may be even tell us what they are up to ?

It’s sad how nobody seems to care about the well being of our one and only inhabitable planet.

The collision is planned for the moon of an asteroid and the impact is expected to change that moon’s orbit about 0.01%.

What if NASA offered to be careful to nudge the asteroid away from earth and it will only cost full funding?

The cartoon is funny- not always to be expected these days. The mission is just an early attempt to see what options we can develop in case of Armageddon. Bruce Willis might not be available then. :)
