Kaepernick’s kneeling was acceptable, until the White House Occupant in 2017 twisted the reasoning of the kneeling. However, the art of lying is OK, as long as it helps the 1%ers.

Kaepernick was advised by a U.S. Special Forces Soldier to take a knee during our National Anthem rather than sit in protest. Taking a knee is the most respectful form of protest I have ever seen. We take a knee to our GOD and take a knee to our fallen heroes.

When the U.S. Supreme Court issued its landmark decision on compulsory flag salutes in 1943, Justice Robert Jackson’s majority opinion discussed various ways of showing respect, listing “appropriate gestures of acceptance of respect: a salute, a bowed or bared head, a bended knee.”

Having never served, and only being a defendant in a court, tRump had no clue about such things.

Kaepernick is right. I think the third stanza should be struck or it is time for a new national anthem. I am speaking as a vet. from a line of vets including minutemen. My surname ancestor came here as an indented servant for 7 years. I am of mostly European descent. However, it appears I am also descended from Michael Mihil Gowen the first freed slave in Virginia. His Great great-grandson was a Minuteman. Hey, white southern you might have something in your genes too. If so accept it. Slavery only kept the very rich RICH. It did not benefit anyone else. If it was cheaper to employ a slave you were not hired or had to work for slave wages. Rodgers is a fool but a rich one.

Yes, it really is telling the difference in response to these two athletes, is it not?

Kaepernick was not hired because his performance was lagging. His political stance and the turmoil surrounding it may have contributed but the reality is that when his offensive line deteriorated it became clear that he was not very good under pressure.

When he was offered a tryout he changed the location at the last minute and turned it into a media circus. It was clear that he was not serious about playing football.

Why did the tv cameras ever showed him kneeling, they should have been focus on the flag. Also how many people complaining about him kneeling were sitting on their but at the same time watching it on tv.

Kneeling during the national anthem has zero to do with disrespecting the military the orange fascist pussbags numbers were dropping like a boat anchor so he made up that lie to keep the simple minds in MAGA interested.
