I suspect that Payne thinks he’s pointing out some kind of censorship or racism on the part of NASCAR. As is sometimes the case, though, I can see his cartoon in a different light: Black lives do matter, NASCAR has been (systemically?) racist and the sponsors they’re avoiding would quickly turn into trouble for them, because such folks are racist and are not capable of nuance or even reasonableness.
