Once upon a time, like (YIKES 50 years ago !) I worked night shift in a restaurant. I got to a close-by bar in time for last call. One of those nights, there was a man and woman in there,trying to find out if there was a bus that came down that road,that would take them to the airport. They were staying at a motel,by the bar. and their luggage had just gotten to the airport. Since it wasn’t to far out of my way, I offered to take them. About now, if you’re wondering what this has to do with anything… That couple was in town, because they were in a circus. I was soo hoping someone had seen us in the car and asked me who the guy was in the front seat with me. …“Oh just some clown I picked up in the bar .” …(His wife rode in the back seat).
