I’m with Tabby. Even a cheap laugh is better than no laugh at all. Of course, she’s the only one laughing so far. Except for the readers of the strip.

I used to joke with the customers when I worked in retail. I had about a 90% success rate. You gotta read your audience and pick your moments.
