Ok. But I think that (so far at least) they have very different business models. Fox Noose has a niche (a LARGE niche, alas) audience that they cater to by spouting anti-american absurdities and (white) supremacist bull carp. FaceBrick has a different model in which they create self-isolation bubbles for EVERY splinter group, then add in just enough contrariness (all provided without much effort on FB’s part) to keep everybody coming back for more contact with their advertisers, more data for the data miners. They also provide me, and those like me, with a way to keep up with friends and kin, including the not-so-close ones. We don’t get sucked into conspiracy theories and we don’t spout that kind of stuff either. For us it’s birthday parties, hikes and kitties all the way down.
Hate has been profitable since Adam and Eve left the proverbial garden. Sadly, the driving force behind our civilization. Peace and harmony lead to stagnation while letting the enemy get ahead.
Maria Ressa’s Nobel peace prize win is an indictment of Facebook. The Norwegian Nobel Committee marked press freedom on Friday (Oct. 8) by awarding the peace prize to journalists Maria Ressa of the Philippines and Dmitry Muratov of Russia. Both journalists are press freedom icons for their work in countries where journalism is often criminalized, and journalists face legal risks or personal danger.
In Ressa’s case, the decision is also an indictment of Facebook, the world’s largest social media company, which plays a key role in her story.

I don’t see the CNN building there. Oh, that’s right, it’s in the toilet like their ratings.
