More or less.. yup. But it all depend on location and layout. Especially if that 1000 square feet is a plot 1 foot wide by 1000 feet long in the way of some developer.

No, 10 acres is 435,600 square feet. 1,000 square feet is 0.022957 acre. So he just bought a plot of land 660 × 600 feet.
